Installation

LaueUtil has a number of third party dependencies including:

• numpy, scipy
• vtk
• HDF5, h5py
• wx, matplotlib
• several modules from Enthought's suite: traits, traits.ui, tvtk
• networkx

The simplest way to satisfy them is to use one of scientific distributions of Python:

• Enthought Python Distribution (commercial but free for academics at degree-granting institutions)
• Python(x,y) (Windows XP/Vista/7 32bits only)

Users will need to inspect, edit and source bash/*.sh files. Extra python configuration may go to config.py.
