#1 Get utf8 into status bar from larsremote message

After a couple of years mostly in other environments, I just started using this great windowmanager again.

I wanted to get utf8 into the status bar, which for me mostly consists of text originating from the "atom"
(set with larsremote message). Here is a little patch for correcting the display (unfortunatly this will only
do lower 16 bits of unicode, so not chinese, japanese etc?). Also, it doesn't care about window titles
and other things, it's a quick hack...
