I hadn't even realized Autopackage 1.0 had been released! I'll have to check that out! I think I've tried minislack. It's a 3rd party effort, no? ZipSlack might also be interesting. Really, we *could* just take a Slackware install, par down the packages a long ways, and rebuild from the ground up (using the default Slackware packages). Then, we'd end up with exactly what we want; no more, no less. Well, except that it'd be awesome if BeOS supported Averatec hardware a bit better. Then Slackware would be providing a bit more than I'd want :-).
