It's done!
lanupdate 0.2.1 is out!
On this release the main focus is on compatibility with further versions of Java and not on
new functions for the program itselfs.

lanupdate is a tool for keeping your software, in your local area network, always up to date.
At the current state of art lanupdate only comes with support for Microsoft Windows because it's using
the windows-file-sharing.
But the os-independence is in a working process and will come soon! :)... read more

A new version of the lanupdate library is released!
The new liblanupdate-0.2 provides the basic functionality for the lanupdate client.
It includes XML-writers/readers based on the jdom-1.0 library from www.jdom.org which you'll
need when you want to use the liblanupdate-0.2 :)

I also added the package with java-doc for liblanupdate.
At the moment it's not absolutly complete but it is under construction and i hope you'll read it when you'll need it ;) ... read more

After a little while of work the new face of the website is released, now. I hope, You will like it.

Now the second alpha-version from LAN Update Lite has released. Now it based on Java, so You need a JVM to run it. Also required is JDOM. In the README-file in the package You find more requierements of LAN Update. Also the program can handel more than two programs.

Because I migrate to Linux and use Windoof nearly anymore, I plans to migrate LAN Update also to an os-independent programming-language. In this case I will use Java. So in future it base not longer on the windoof-filesharing, because in Java I plan to use RMI or something else. You can post Your oppinions to this plan to the forum.

Because little bugs I have updated this release. Please download this, if You have problems with the old release 0.2

LANUpdate is a Windows based program, which helps to hold a LAN of PCs actuelly with software like antivirus and firewall-software. With the new version You can change the Language with Language-Files. Also save the program infos about Update-Infos in an XML-file, so is no risk to overload the registry from Win. The Editor for this Config-files is now easier to use.

I need help with Translation of my program in other Languages. A example of an Language-File for english is avaible on http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=659498&group_id=111496&func=browse in the support request.
