The lang-mt project has released its first package, which includes keyboard layout files for both xmodmap and xkb, and support files for the keyboard switchers in KDE and Gnome.

I just uploaded the first batch of files - the lingwa.1 pack, which include keyboard definitions for xmodmap and xkb. Use at own risk.
