This may be a question that's been asked, but I can't find information on it:
Is there a maximum size limit for an input WAV file (44.1khz, 16bit)?
I ask this in the light of RAM limitations on 32-bit Windows computers...
If I have a WAV file that is larger than 4gb, what happens?
Does the overflow start writing to hard disk once the RAM is full?
I don't even know if LAME uses RAM space to write the file into.
Thank you very much if you can shed some light on this for me.
I'm using v220.127.116.11 on win7sp1 x86
