(I don't care for write access to CVS) thanks for your offer, it would be great if you could translate LAM to Czech. :) Here is how our translation system works: The .po file[1] contains all English strings ("msgid") in our project. You would need to write the translation for each string in "msgstr". The msgid must not be changed. At the beginning of the file please enter your name etc. Please note that the file must be encoded in UTF8. I would suggest to use KBabel (http://i18n.kde.org/tools/kbabel/) or PoEdit for the translation but any editor with UTF8 support can do it, too. Then I will need the string "Czech (Czechia)" translated to Czech (also UTF8). This is needed for the language selection box. You can just put the string in another text file. When you are finished with the translation just send me the files or use the patch tracker at our SourceForge project homepage. Whenever there are new releases and the language files need to be updated I will inform you on this mailinglist. If you have any questions (e.g. about technical terms) just write to lam-i18n or contact me directly. Have a nice day, Roland [1] http://lam.sourceforge.net/po-files/messages.po.cz.tar.gz |
