Labux
Open source software for laboratory automation control

In January 2011, Caliper Life Sciences kindly donated their software (formerly known as iLink or Clara) to Aberystwyth University in order that we can make it available to the open source community. This was the software that was used to control the Robot Scientist Adam at Aberystwyth, and is in use in many other lab automation projects around the world.

Labux is now the new name for this software. The source code is to be hosted at Sourceforge and have a BSD-style license.

The first tasks will be to port Labux from VB6 to the .Net platform, and to provide documentation. We are keen to encourage other developers to get involved - please contact us if you're interested. 

The software will be held at the Sourceforge: site http://sourceforge.net/projects/labux/
