A bug-fix release. More-or-less a must for everyone using labserver's XML-parsing capabilities, recommended for everyone else.
The new release, 1.1.12, makes it possible for the clients to actually see the errors the DBMS produces instead of having to bother the labserver administrator to check the logs for them.
It's there, in 1.1.10. Please note you won't be able to use this version with database structure 1.23c - since it is now officially obsolete, there was no point in keeping it in the code.
Regarding stability: the new parser seems to work fine with PostgreSQL, but there still might be bugs in the Oracle version. Let me know if you find any.
Most people needn't bother upgrading to this version, since it was only released to work around a bug *in the database*, not labserver itself. See the Release Notes for details.
It's here! The most important change is the "target" parameter support for "lookup" tags in the XML parser, thanks to which it should finally be possible to describe DCDB subprocesses properly. Everything else is just minor bugfixes. Enjoy!
That's it! While 1.1.0 turned out to have a bug in the parsers (a meaningless problem for most of you out there who don't have anything to do with ALICE, but neverthless a problem), this one seems to work fine with both raw and XML input.
