LabRAD Manager - Main Window

Overview

The LabRAD Manager handles the connections between all modules of a LabRAD setup. This window shows a list of these connections, allows the Manager to be started and stopped, and gives access to windows that configure the global behaviour of the LabRAD setup.

Buttons

Icon Description
Runs or stops the Manager
Displays information about the selected connection (grayed out if none selected; not implemented yet)
Kills the selected connection (grayed out if none selected)
Displays the Access Restrictions Window
Displays the Errors Window
Displays the Server Configuration Window (grayed out when the Manager is running)
Saves the current server settings and access restrictions into the configuration file
Opens the About page
Opens this page

List Columns

Title Description
  Icon showing connection state
ID Connection ID assigned to this connection
Name Name chosen by the Server/Client
Protocol Protocol version (currently only v2.0)
Sent Number of packets sent by the Manager to this Server/Client
Received Number of packets received by the Manager from this Server/Client

The list can be sorted along a column by clicking the column title.

Connection Icons

Icon Description
Active Manager Server connection (always ID 1, provides discovery services, etc.)
Inactive Manager Server connection (when Manager not running)
Active Server connection
Inactive Server connection (Server IDs are preserved across Server reconnects)
Active Client connection
Overlays icons to show connections as idle (no traffic for more than 5s)
