I installed kxstitch 0.9.2 today on Kubuntu 13.04 and am totally at loss on how to print a pattern. I imported an image, successfully converted the stitches I needed, saved the pattern and would like to print it, but there is apparently no way to print anything, regardless if I select the pattern or not.
Any hints? I didn't find an entry for printing in the online handbook
Thanks for trying out KXStitch. The online user manual does need updating, another one of those tasks that sadly gets left. You should have a user manual installed locally that is accessible through the Help menu. There is a section on printing and how to set things up.
The basics: Go to the File menu and select Print Setup. If you just want a default representation click on the button with [...] that will create a number of default pages and elements.
You can modify the size and position of any elements and what is displayed in them using the context menu which you can call up by right clicking on an element. You can also add or remove elements to get the page layout that you need.
When completed, you can select the Print from the file menu to print it. I would suggest printing it to pdf to ensure you like the final layout before committing it to paper.
Every time I try to run the Print Setup, as soon as I click on the [...] button it crashes, with this backtrace:

oh, and btw: I use KDE 4.10.90 on Kubuntu 13.04
Would you be able to send me the pattern. I have a feeling I might know what is wrong but I will need to test it with your pattern. Send it to my sourceforge address please.
I might be looking at the wrong place, but your profile doesn't list your mail address...
You can send it to sallewell at users.sourceforge.net.
