Altough my wireless connection works fine with kernel
2.6.0, kwavecontrol doesn't (it sometimes crashes, but
most of the time it displays a "crossed box" icon in
the system tray and clicking on this icon makes
kwavecontrol exit with the message "Alarm clock"
written to stdout.

System information:

Debian unstable, Linux 2.6.0-test9, wireless-tools
26-1, Zyxel ZyAir B100

Forgot to mention the version of kwavecontrol: 0.3 (debian
    version 0.3-3)

Same problem here. Kernel 2.6.7, wireless driver ipw2100.
cat /proc/net/wireless is able to display the link info etc.

Kwavecontrol shows only a cross as logo,

but it does fill in eth1, infrastructure, and nickname
    (ipw2100).
It also displays bytes sent and received.
channel, frequency display only: Error. Signal level
    displays completely weird values --15657454dBm
