I'm excited to announce the first official releases of Kubos, a simple interactive CAD (3D modelling) program based on OpenCASCADE.
Today I am releasing both version 0.1 of Kubos and the first alpha release of version 0.2. Hi! My name is Marko and I’m the creator of Kubos, an open source CAD System. On this blog you will find information about the development of Kubos. I will use this first blog post to introduce myself and my project.

I developed the first version of Kubos as part of my thesis at university. The main reason for developing it was providing a simple open source CAD system which could be used in schools. I’m going to be a teacher for math and geometry myself and I have always been dissatisfied with the CAD Systems that were available to pupils. Therefore I decided to write my own.
