KTagIt / News: Recent posts

I've created a new mailing list - ktagit-users. The purpose of this list is to create a forum for users of KTagit to talk about the application and also gives them a central place to email if they have problems.

I've updated the tarballs for the 0.6.1 release due to a corruption issue. They should work now.

KTagit 0.6.1 has been released. The main goal of this release is to fix the QT/KDE 3.0 compatibility issues. There are also several bug fixes. See the changelog for more details

I'd a few people to come up with designs for icons. I'd like KTagit to have it's own set of icons to use in the toolbars. Right now, it uses a not so good set of KDE icons and don't really do a good job of describing the actions that the toolbar buttons perform. Any contributions are welcome.

the KTagit project has a new maintainer, me :)
I've already commited some things to the CVS tree and hopefully I'll be ready for a 0.5 release by the end of feburary. submit any bugs or feature requests, and i'll see if i can't get them in.

The CVS branches are going to be rearranged shortly. There is already a branch names KTAGIT_0_4_RELEASE which is the 0.4 release of KTagit. HEAD will become the active development branch, and DEV (and possibly META_INFO) will be eliminated.

on cvs, this version is tagged 'version_0_3' in the HEAD branch.
since a few days, the developement version is in a separate branch tagged 'DEV'.

there is now one branch named 'DEV'.
this branch will be the development branch, and HEAD branch will only be synchronized when the new features are stable.

to get DEV branch, use "cvs checkout -r DEV"
