DownloadKSplasherX is ksplasher splash screen editor and creator but for the new ksplashx KDE4 engine, so you as always can edit author info, and place elements wherever you wants. You will need python-qt4, and python-imaging for create animations.

I use the directory of themes in my home, using a symbolic link. I was testing the first theme in his good-for-nothing program, I noticied that it removed the entire directory containing all the themes that I downloaded and I created. You just checks if the item '~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes' is a directory? You must verify: 1. if exists 2. if is directory (type) 3. if is link You want to be a programmer? You must first be smart.
