Hi,

It would be really cool if I could get my LINUX box, running KShutdown, to shutdown itself when it detects no other machines on my network.

I use my LINUX box as a file server/backup server/media server. However when my other devices are offline (and not pingable, for example) it would be cool the Kshutdown would then initiate a shutdown because at that point the LINUX box isn't needed.

I use wakeup on LAN from my other boxes to make sure my LINIX box is online, so this idea would work nicely and save power, etc.

I'd imagine this wouldn't be too diffecult to implement and you'd need some sort of interface so you can add in IP addresses/hostnames of the machines that it needs to check.
