KRN 0.6.12, including a set of RPMs I have reasons to believe actually may work, is up on the site :-)
Highlight is Lauri's KRN docs, which, while incomplete (yet), are a gazillion times better than what was there before ;-)
Thanks to Nicolas Vignal, there are now binary and source RPM packages for KRN 0.6.11!
They are (or should be) available at http://sourceforge.net/project/filelist.php?group_id=2401
A large redesign of KRN is taking place since a week ago. The news is that it is going well, and that since today, KRN is pretty much multithreaded.
In fact, it is too multithreaded, since it lacks locking resources that can't be shared, such as NNTP connections.
So, hopefully, a new KRN with lots of new features is closer than I expected!
New version includes lots of bugfixes, and is expected to be the last stable(ish) release for at least a couple of weeks, while KRn gains some new cool features.
In particular, most bugs found in 0.6.9 are fixed, and hopefully not many new ones were created.
For a while I have wanted to decouple KRN's development cycle from the main KDE cycle. Keeping up with API changes and release deadlines is not feasible when I'm only coding for fun in my little free time.
So, time to look for a new home. The main KDE repositories have been great, but it's time to go searching for new horizons!
