Hi, Patrizio. Thank you again for the good work. But for you to know: the "problem" is still the same. If i want to start the fat AppImage i have to start the small AppImage at first. Otherwise the fat one won't start at all. I even have to do this, if the small one does not display the programm after klicked it. Only if i had done this at first, the fat one will run after doubleklick So o MX-21 as well as on LM-20.3. No matter if there are KDE Stuff is already installed or not. Regards Loik

Thank you. I mentioned the two images in https://github.com/pbek/kradio/releases/tag/v5.0.0-beta1.407709953.57 now...
Hi, Patrizio Yes, You did right. But it's a bit Tricky. So.... Because the small AppImg runs on MX-21 ( based on Debian11-bullseye ) just fine, out of the box, there was no need to test the fat one on MX-21. I wondered how it would work on an newly installed LM-20.3-Una. Yes, that was different. The small one won't start at all. The fat one does. At first i thought , it could be because there wasn't installed any KDE programs yet on UNA. On MX-21 are some Apps installed, like k3b, clementine, kaffeeine...

see https://github.com/pbek/kradio/blob/master/.github/workflows/build.yml#L95 "Fat" has all the libs included in appimage: https://github.com/pbek/kradio/blob/master/AppImageBuilder.fat.yml "Non-fat" doesn't: https://github.com/pbek/kradio/blob/master/AppImageBuilder.yml I wasn't sure if the "Non-fat" will work for anyone but me, so I created another version too.
Hi, Patrizio. Many thanks for that. I had searched for over 6 month for something like this. I was very frustrate that i couldn't found kRadio in the repos ( for Debian 11 ) anymore. I missed it hardly. To compile something on my one was not possible for me. I don't understand anything about it. To fare for me. And i wasn't even able to install the tarballs i found. Your AppImage ( the small one ) runs out off the box, perfectly. I'm very happy now But, i wonder, whats the different between the two...

cleanup of qt deprecations
I love kradio, but since it vanished from the Ubuntu repositories and since I cound't find a binary of it again I took off a day or two to build an AppImage (automatically built and released on GitHub) from the current kradio5 (with some patches to make it better work as AppImage). You can download my releases on: https://github.com/pbek/kradio/releases PS: I first tried to create a snap, but the KDE of core18 is too old for kradio5. The AppImages are built with Ubuntu 20.04.

Hello, I installed kRadio with Leap 42.3 (KDE Plasma Version 5.87) and everything works fine except that I do not have the possibility to record mp3 format directly. The Ogg/Vorbis format is available and I the required library (libmp3lame0) is installed. I know that the ogg format can be converted but it would be fine to choose the mp3 format directly. Thanks in advance BR. Norbert
