I think your program could become THE php development tool.
Your syntax highlighting is way better than that from bluefish for example (especially with "\"' en such nested strings) .. very handy !
A detail I haven't seen mentioned is this: for security reasons there should be some sort of password or something like that ?? Now you maybe can limit access on ip but with linux we are on multi-user systems.. It's like opening your webdirectory for anyone..
What might be nice is that you get a nice complain when you start the program with the DISPLAY environment badly set. For example for using the program via xhosting..
Though you deserve alot of credit.. nice job !
