#3 packet loss on Shaw network

I used to subscribe to an ISP using ADSL. Kphone's
audio quality was just fine.
After I moved to Shaw Cable internet (Western Canada) I
began to experience packet loss. I suppose this is due
to the difference between the routers on this network
and the previous network.

I am a programmer and could address this issue myself,
but I am not familiar with the C/C++ routines for
manipulating IP packet headers. I suspect that setting
the don't fragment flag might have a positive effect,
but I'm not sure where it should be done in the code.

For test purposes the routine UDPMessageSocket::SetTOS in
dissipate2/udpmessagesocket.cpp could be a good place.
