I know that my words are said at last...but please help me.i have the problem with the PREFIX and the PLUGINS.
Im really really newbie in LINUX.I installed Red Hat 9.then downloaded the source.I was unable to compile the source because of old Delelompent tools and LIBRARIES and QT...
so I downloaded the latest RPM available...I think it was 0.7.2 or 0.7.3
I installed it from terminal and:
rpm -i -h kopete.rpm
so it just installed.then i ran kopete in command line and kopete opens.but there were the problem that you said in install tips.there werent any plugins available.I dont know wheres the prefix that I installed kopete.
Please Help me.I dont like Gaim anymore and the Yahoo Messenger REALLY SUCKS...it even doesnt shows my online friends :-D
and one more thing...please make the RPM of the NEWER versions.

P.S: Now i searched for kopete in my HDD.
theres a folder in /share/apps/ named kopete
i have some files in share/apps/kopete:
