I am trying to run kooldock on a new ubuntu 7.04 installation. Under GNOME, I get error messages saying that the applicationname.desktop is missing. When I look in the /home/user/.kde folder, I can see the file is there. I can not run it under gnome. KDE is not installed on that system. On another system, I have kooldock running fine with the same setup except that all of KDE is installed.

Steps to recreate:
Fresh install of Ubuntu 7.04 with all updates applied.
Install kooldock and all dependencies using synaptic
Run kooldock
Right click kooldock to add a program
Drag program from gnome Applications Menu
Reload kooldock with new configuration
Attempt to use new launcher
Kooldock reports that the .desktop is missing

I understand, it wants that files in ~/.kde/share/apps/kooldock/menu/ and they are there? That's weird, I'll check it soon.

Ok, I have cheked it, and it seems kooldock needs to work also KDEbase, which is not installed automatically. But I'll try to do it possible to work without it.
