Broadcasting at channel
comp-sci books
with its posted GPG sender key
comp-sci-owner-pubkey.asc
crashes the karst client.
Before I have renamed the sender key file to
comp-sci\ books.key
and moved it into the folder for the sender keys: the
channel appears in the broadcast menu then.
What differs from a self generated key file is the
format. This could be the start of the problem...
But how to come from the first to the second format
(I've tried with exporting the key from gpg after
importing it with no success).

Looks like the GPG key is base-64 encoded, while the k2b key is hex encoded (base-16). I'm not sure if this is the only difference...
Do you know if GPG keys are RSA keys? If so, then a simple format conversion should work.
I'm not sure why kast would crash on the base-64 key, though... I'll look into it.

I have tried to convert the GPG key from base-64 by
perl -MMIME::Base64 -ne 'print decode_base64($_)' <
edit.key > /tmp/t
, and then
hexdump -C
with manually formatting the result... -> no success!
But there is at least one poster who uses the comp-sci books
channel frequently: the best would be to here from anyone
how he/she does it...
It may be possible that no one has tried the posted key so
far and just the originator posts into the channel (with
another key)...
What about a feedback mode for channels to broadcast
feedback just to the channel posters (those with sender
keys)? Then I could ask directly!
