#288 Position & dimension divs with mouse

I would be pleased as a mouse addict (:P) to be able to create more easily some zones in my Web page. I suggest it should be as easy as positioning and resizing a "crop" zone with an image editor: starting from the insertion point, a mouse move would display a rectangle div with the desired size for further "text" or "image" insertion. The idea is to define the whole page mapping beforehand, just like newspapers do on their frontpage when defining column number, position and dimensions.
Of course these "zones" should remain content-resizeable at the next step.
