I was building a simple HTML file and using Google Photos for the images. This was working fine when I first typed them in. After editing the file for a period of time, I noticed that one image no longer showed. I thought it would resolve itself. Not.

I tried re-opening the program.

I tried the Reload images menu option. At this point, I got an error message after awhile and now none of the pictures were showing. (Alert ... Kompozer blah blah... cannot communicate securely blah common encryption algorthm, click OK)

Up until then, I was using version 0.7.10. I discovered the 0.8b3 version and downloaded it.

The problem persisted and got worse. Now, after a minute of opening the HTML file, I get endless Alert windows saying this:

"KompoZer can't conect securely to lh3.googleusercontent.com because the site uses a security protocol which isn't enabled."

I tracked this down to this part of the code:

#for the next 3 lines, %1$S will be product name (e.g. Firefox), %2$S will be the www.example.com address we connect to
SSL_Disabled=%1$S can't connect securely to %2$S because the SSL protocol has been disabled.
SSL2_Disabled=%1$S can't connect securely to %2$S because the site uses an older, insecure version of the SSL protocol.
SSL_NoMatchingCiphers=%1$S can't connect securely to %2$S because the site uses a security protocol which isn't enabled.

which seems to be in "/mozilla/security/manager/locales/en-US/chrome/pipnss/pipnss.properties" and looks to be related to "SSL_NoMatchingCiphers". I can guess what that means.

So in a Firefox window, I visited one of my photos. Here is the Technical Details of it:
Connection Encrypted (TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256, 128 BIT KEYS, TLS 1.2)

So I must ask, is Kompozer unable to use this level of encryption?

I also must wonder... why did these photos work initially and then stop appearing after a long amount of editing.

Is there any way to adjust the TLS protocol choice?

Here is an example picture. Let me know if you can or cannot view it.

    Title should have been
Encryption, Security, TLS, not working on lh3.googleusercontent.com

Everything worked well until last week: KompoZer can't conect securely to ~several sites~ because the site uses a security protocol which isn't supported. No fresh downloads or anything. The error message keeps reappearing endlessly and I have to kill KompoZer to stop it. How can I switch of the encryption check for those sites?

I am having this exact issue. Have you been able to get it resolved yet?
