The first part of the attached file (PeopleIndexTable.html) consists of a parent table, 5 rows by 3 cols.

There is a daughter table, 5 rows by 1 col in row 3, col 3 of the parent.

Select the complete daughter table with the mouse (drag-left button) so all its cells are highlighted.

Ctrl-C to copy

Move the cursor to row 4 Col 3

ctrl-v to copy

The new daughter table consists of 1 row and 5 columns!

Examining the source, it appears that the <tr> tags are missing from the 2nd daughter table; inserting these

manually in front of the <td bgcolor="#......> tags fixes the problem.

It would appear that the <td bgcolor="#......> tags are not being picked up by the copy operation.

Part 2 shows the results of the above

Part 3 shows the results after manually inserting the <tr> Tags.

    Since posting I've found a work-around.

If you place a line of text above the daughter table and include this in the copy operation it works, but it's a bit of a pain because you have to edit it out after pasting it in the next cell of the parent table.

Another work around is to paste the daughter table into a blank area below the parent table, modify the source by hand as detailed above, enter a line of text (as a reminder what to do!) copy this line along with the orphaned daughter table into the required cell of the parent table.
