Package caption Warning: Unknown document class (or package)

From KOMA-Script 3.46 to 3.48, the following warning is displayed and written to the log file when using a KOMA-Script class and also loading the caption package:

Package caption Warning: Unknown document class (or package),
(caption) standard defaults will be used.
See the caption package documentation for explanation.

After some necessary changes to the KOMA-Script classes and the tocbasic package, an (originally rather minor) adaptation of the caption package would also have been necessary. Unfortunately, Axel Sommerfeldt has discontinued the development of caption. Further adaptations to tocbasic were therefore necessary to restore compatibility with the caption package. At the same time, caption had to be prevented from corrupting these adaptations and KOMA-Script's improvements with its own, outdated adaptations to earlier versions of the KOMA-Script class. The result is the above warning, which is correct in content, but can be ignored due to the consideration of caption in tocbasic.

With KOMA-Script 3.49 package tocbasic fakes an internal macro of caption to avoid the warning. This is currently more a workaround and may be replaced by anther solution in future.
