Currently image assets are loaded dynamically after start.
A splash screen needs to be introduced. To make the background loading process smoother, the necessary images could be loaded during the splash screen. For development purposes, the file svn:site/logo.gif could be shown in the splash screen. A fade-in/fade-out effect would be nice.
