#1 booting problems - can't find kernel

When i start up with the CD in my computer, i get to the
command line and start receiving errors saying that the
kernel can not be found. I've seen the same errors from
knoppiXMAME 1.2.1 and 1.4, on 2 different computers.

I downloaded the iso file and added roms to the
empty '/roms' folder and burned it to disk... should I add
my own linux kernel or something? I thought it was
included in the iso download.
