I rarely want to play a whole game against the
computer. I much prefer to set up problems (from books
or current games I'm working on) and play from there.
The addition of a board setup screen would greatly
increase the value of Knights to me.
Yes, this is still going to happen; Although I should warn you
that we're not directly responsable for the Zaurus port. Even
when we add manual board setup, you'll still have to wait for
House of Fish Designs to implement it.

I have to agree. Most chess books i've seen teach purely
through examples. It would be fun to set up some of the
harder one's and try playing them out. Good Idea for a
feature.

Although we're already under a feature freeze for out next release ( 0.5.9

Thanks. I'm looking forward to it.

I hope you're still considering this; Knights is the only decent
chess software for the Z and the setup feature would increase
its usefulness.

Hi,
... you did a great job with knighs, I really enjoy playing
it, but the first feature I was missing is exactly that one.
Is it still in progress?
