You might have noticed, that the recent checkins on the 0.8 stable branch were performed solely by Tony Bloomfield. Tony is the author of KMyMoney's GnuCash importer and recently joined the KMyMoney maintenance team and took over the work on the 0.8 stable branch.
Tony is working heavily to catch up recent bugfix changes on CVS HEAD to be ready for a first update release of 0.8.

The development team has released KMyMoney 0.7.4, an updated version of the current development branch. The highlights of this release besides the usual lot of bugfixes are: Improved QIF import and the online help/manual with a lot of screenshots. Also this release should be able to make it to the FreeBSD port system.
RPMs for SuSE 9.1 i386 and SuSE 9.3 AMD64 have been released to the file release system. Please be aware, that they do not contain the OFX plugin. They will be released as separate RPM.
Christian Nolte provided two RPMs for KMyMoney 0.7.3 for the Fedora Core 4 distribution. One is for the i386 platform, the other is a specialized compilation for AMD athlon based systems.

Thanks to the translation effort of Marcelino Villarino, the CVS rel-0-6 branch now contains Galician and Spanish language support. They will be part of the next maintenance release (0.6.5). A date for this release is not yet scheduled.
The previously found problem in version 0.6.3 of the KDE personal finance manager KMyMoney has been fixed and an updated version has been released.
The development team has been notified about a problem with entering transactions in it's latest release 0.6.3.
The fix has already been issued to the stable branch of 0.6 and a new release (0.6.4) will be available during the next days.
The short-term workaround is to install / go-back to 0.6.2.

In order to allow developers to choose to receive certain automatically generated messages or not, two new mailing lists have been established for the KMyMoney project.
kmymoney2-cvs distributes notification e-mails about activities in the CVS repository (e.g. check-in, add, remove). kmymoney2-bugs distributes new entries and changes made to the bug tracking and feature request system.
