In reconciliation mode for some imported transactions are sometimes no offline transactions to match, so I enter a category and the payee name manually to the imported transaction. After that I have always to set the cleared state with the mouse as a separate step. It would be easier if I could set the status via the keyboard, or better: the transaction should automatically marked as cleared when editing and saving it in reconciliation mode.

Go to Configure KMyMoney -> Register -> Data Entry.
Change the default reconciliation state to Cleared. That sets the state of the transaction to the state you want.

That is only true for new manually entered transactions, but not for modified imported ones.

As a first step you should simply accept the transaction before you modify it. That will set the Cleared status. Please use the shortcut configuration to assign a shortcut to the Accept function.

Alvaro, thanks for the hint, but as Thomas already said: it's not what I intentionally meant. I mean the status when I edit an imported transaction. Assigning a shortcut is a good workaround for it.
Maybe it's possible that KMM sets a predefined status (in the kmm global settings) when I save a modified imported transaction?
