I downloaded, configured, compiled an installed kme.
I'm root, I have acces to /dev/kmem :
su-2.05a# ls -al /dev/kmem
crw-r----- 1 root kmem 3, 1 May 24 23:00 /dev/kmem
su-2.05a# id
uid=0(root) gid=0(wheel) groups=0(wheel), 1(daemon),
2(kmem), 3(sys), 4(tty), 5(operator), 20(staff),
31(guest), 80(admin)
I run kme and I get this:
su-2.05a# kme
/dev/kmem: Operation not permitted
What operation? Does kme do anything more than reading?
When I found this program, I was really looking forward
to use it. Is there any chance it will be possible? :)

Wow, this fell into a black hole. Sorry about that. (The
kme-misc list is more actively followed...)
I don't have ready access to an OSX system for testing, but
the output of a trace or strace or truss or whatever OSX
calls its system call tracer and/or an analysis of this from
a debugger would be most helpful in chasing it down.
