[Kmatplot-general] bugs in Kmagplot 0.2.2(with attachments--ignore previous)

I've built kmatplot 0.2.2 under SuSE Linux 7.2. Along
the way I've found a few bugs. The first attachment is
contains a couple of context diffs for the bugs that I
fixed. The first bug gets rid of an unterminated comment
and the second removes an un-necessary include file that
couldn't be found under my Linux install.

The second attachment gives the text of a crash report.
Once kmatplot starts it crashes, for me.

I find the goals of kmatplot very attractive and would
like to use kmatplot and help with bugs where I can.
However I'm not really equipped to deal with alpha code.
What is the relative level of maturity of kmatplot?
