Hi Thomas and Jeff,

qmatplot can be found at http://www.sf.net/projects/qmatplot/

knewplot's screenshots look interesting. It's a new project and rather 
small: ~7500 lines of code whereas qmatplot has ~75000.

New features for qmatplot could be:

* import/export filters (by far most important)

* easier interface
* fine-tuning of graphs
* curve fitting
