[Kmatplot-general] Problem compiling Kmatplot 4.0 in Red Hat 8.0

Hello everybody,

I've been trying to install Kmatplot under Red Hat 8.0 with no success. 
I've tried both the 4.0 and 3 versions. The make fails, no matter what 
command line options I provide. The binary executable crashed 
complaining about a missing symbol in the QT library. I've read some 
messages that seem to indicate that some people have been able to make 
it work under RH 8.0. Please, could anyone provide information of what 
additional packages (and where they can be found) are necessary in 
order to make it compile?

You could try my home-grown rpm.  Download the src.rpm from
http://kde-redhat.sourceforge.net/
Follow the SRPMS link in the kde3-extras section... specifically, you want 
to get
kmatplot-0.4-2.src.rpm

And the rebuild it on your box
rpmbuild --rebuild kmatplot-0.4-2.src.rpm

I tried to install your package, but I get the following error while 
the prep stage:

aclocal.m4:2509: error: m4_defn: undefined macro: _m4_divert_diversion
autoconf/functions.m4:1053:   AM_FUNC_OBSTACK is expanded from...
aclocal.m4:2509: the top level
make: *** [cvs] Error 1
Error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.13159 (%prep)

The packages installed in my machine are
librpm404-4.0.4-8x.27
m4-1.4.1-11
rpm404-python-4.0.4-8x.27
rpm-4.1-0.06
rpm-devel-4.1-0.06
rpm-build-4.1-1.06
qt-3.0.5-17
qt-devel-3.0.5-17

Any hint?
