#1 Mingw fixes

This patch makes changes required to compile cleanly on win32 with mingw.

./configure; make; make install should work as expected, but you will need to have a working gtk+ development environment setup (including gtkglext).

It isn't tested back on un*x yet.

Hmm, if you use Chrome (I'm using 16.0.912.75) the sourceforge browser detection messes up, leaving you will a useless file. Firefox allowed a proper download.
