Klear 1.3 has been released, finally. You can download it from here. Please please please read the documentation on the website before installing it so you know what has to be done. Let me know if you have any questions,

Klear 1.3 is ready for release. I am going to be installing it on a couple of test boxes monday and clean up any last minute bugs. After that, provided nothing major comes up, I will build the RPMS and the source tars and put them up here. I should also be completely done with the documentation on monday. Most of it is already done, and can be viewed at http://klearanswers.toxicpanda.com/article_3.html in case you want to get an idea of what you need to be setting up. It was all built and ready for release, but I decided that it has come time to make the klear answers templates look more klear-ish, and I need to remove the dependancy on htdig's search html. I am also working on documentation since klear is getting to that point where it is increasingly more difficult to just use. I hope to have it ready in the next week or two.

I built the packages off of the anonymous CVS server, just to keep everything clean, and in doing that it didnt grab two critical fixes that I had implemented. They are relativley simple fixes, but major nonetheless. I will be releasing a patched release in the next day or two. Sorry folks, it'll be up soon :).

Here it is ladys and gentlemen, Klear 1.2. This is a fully functional knowledge base. Klear is the administrators side and Klear answers is the customer side. Its relativley easy to setup, if you have any questions just send me an email on my sourceforge account and I'll get back to you. Please report any bugs you find to me, I'm sure there are a few still out there that I havent caught. Have fun :).... read more

Pushed out the new klear answers stuff. It will generate the static content from the klear database, it has apache directives in the config directory to setup klear answers properly. It also uses htdig for its search engine, so you need to edit your htdig.conf file appropriatly. Other than that it seems like everything works. Let me know if you have an problems, or configuration problems b/c its a little odd to setup.... read more

We now have a mailing list, its klear-devel@lists.sourceforge.net, feel free to join and ask any questions, request features, general discussion, whatever you want to talk about in reference to klear. Also, if you wish to view the demo, you can go to klear.kavefish.net and use admin/redhat for the adminstrator login, or demo/demo for the underuser login. Please keep in mind, since all the permissions are module based, there is no static administrator or static underuser, the roles are permission defined so you can have a hybrid user who have some access to admistration type things and have no access to others. I made some minor bug changes and a small UI change, but its still the same release. The RPM is up and the new source is up. Have fun :)

This is just a minor update. Klear now has the ability to have images added to FAQs. There are some minor changes, manage users has been paginated, you can now up/down sort in manage users, and you can delete images. Klear Answers was provided simply because whenever you add an image in klear it tells klear answers to save the image as well, so unless you wnat an error you need to install klear answers as well. As always, if you have any questions i'm usually in #klear on irc.freenode.net.

I finished the Images stuff on the klear side, which forced me to write some of the Klear Answers stuff, so i've already made a module called klearAnswers in CVS. It hasn't taken as of now, but hopefully will be available as soon as the sourceforge CVS decides to take it :). Happy New Year!!!

This is the complete Klear Expert side of the Klear application. There are a few minor things that have to be added to it, but they are all superficial. If you do download and use please provide feedback, right now I only get feedback from one side, it would be nice to have different points of view on this project. Thank you!!!

This is a very, very basic release, it has all the basic Editor parts. There are a few things that arent major, but need to be done in order for this to be made into an actual release. Check the TODO file to see what they are, and check out the README file to see the isntallation instructions. Just so you know, the documentation is scarce.
