Any ideas about automatic layout switchig?
There are some windoze porgrams to do this.
AFAIK, right now no Linux analog exists.

Automatic layout switching can be done by sniffing pressed
keys and comparing character frequences with constant
values.
When keyboard switcher detects something like "oops, last
15 chars was in English but seems to be Russian", it
generates "15 backspases" + chars in "right" layout. And, of
couse, switch the keyboard layout.
It works good for most of programs. But some programs
need to turn this off, so there will be framework to
per-application configuration.
Of couse, I understand, that will be really hard to do.
...Just a proposal.
