Emmanuel, thanks - I didn't succeed in using the index though. If unpacking a portable version I get subdirectories like data/content data/index data/library I tried two things: 1. I transferred the data directory recursively to my phone keeping the directory layout (as indicated above). kiwix was able to find data/content/*.zimaa, but full text search didn't work 2. I flattened the data directory contents such that all files were in the same directory (*.zimaa, *.zimab, ... along with the contents of the index like record.DB, postlist.DB, ...). Still the full text search didn't work. any futher hints how to enable full text search? regards, -- Johannes Am 2016-02-22 07:10, schrieb Emmanuel Engelhart: > Hi Johannes > > On 21.02.2016 22:45, Dr. Johannes Zellner wrote: >> thanks. >> full-text search sounds promising and is what I missed since a long >> time. >> >> Is it sufficient to generate an index file with `kiwix-index file.zim >> file.idx` and then put both files in the same directory? > > Yes, or you download the "portable" version (ZIP) from www.kiwix.org. > > Regards > Emmanuel |
