#119 Gesture - Touchpad friendly gui
I'm trying Kiwix 0.9alpha8 on my MacBook Pro 13'' with Snow Leopard, mostly browsing with TouchPad. Two finger scrolling down works well, but scrolling up will bring you to the previous page. Two finger zooming in/out does not work. Three finger sweep backwards and forwards do not work, either. In internet browser, e.g., Firefox, the three finger guesture would lead to the previous/next pages wrt the current page. It would be perfect for Kiwix to work properly with these finger guestures. Another problem is that there is no option "Export as PDF". If you working with office package like OpenOffice/NeoOffice, one can easily export the doc file as pdf without using other printers since the Mac OS X already integrated pdf printing function.
Reg, do you understand the bug report? Does that seems easy to implement?
Is that a pure macos stuff, or the feature should be available also on win & nux?

We'll try to port the gesture features from Firefox ; at least for back/next.
Regarding PDF export, it's a separate issue and actually this feature exists in Kiwix. We removed the link though in OSX because it was just a shortcut to "Print as PDF" which is provided by OSX on the Print Dialog.
Will touchpad guesture be implemented in Kiwix 0.9? Cannot wait to try the new cool soft, :).
We do not plan to implemented that soon.
I increase the priority, it seems that on OSX you do not have a all the right click contextual menu if you have only a trackpad

double click with touchpad works with OSX. So to do for 1.0.
Just an update ; the back/previous gesture is dependent on Xulrunner 18/19 so it won't work in current release but hopefully the one after this one.
up/down scrolling has worked for a few past releases already.
Now that we use XR29, does that work outofthebox?
