That's something that can be handled on the KDE side.  Kit need take no 
action to allow icon styles.

That's inherent in jabber.  Whether a jid is ne...@ja..., 
pre...@ai..., presjpolk%irc...@ir... or 
whatever, they're all treated the same as equal jids.

Again I'd be just fine with turning off display of groups.  I might even 
make it default, as you suggest.
