Kink not detecting printer under CUPS
Brought to you by:

Kink now compiles correctly, but running it fails to
detect my printer. I've set the permissions for both
/dev/lp0 and /dev/parpart0 to 666 and have tried using
sudo to run Kink. Neither of these approaches has
worked. My printer is lp0 and is configured using
CUPS. The printer is operational and prints from both
the command line using both the command line ("lp
filename") and from within applications such as
OpenOffice, KDevelop, etc.

Does the command line tool "ink" give you the needed information?
