It's a strange problem that's part the fault of the development software that I'm using and part the fault of PalmOS. Apparently, if you enter data into a database, then return to the same window with out going to a table first, records get magically generated and appear. I'm trying to work on this one. You *should* be able to go back through the setup and cycle through, deleting the extras. I figured it was still usable, since most people will only use the setup screen a couple times initially. There's nothing in the pics form except the ability to draw a picture, say of kiln shelves or some obscure thing. I was initially going to disable the menu in this form. If select all and cut would really be useful here, I'll try to work on it. -J -- Jonathan Pennington | jo...@co... "It's hard to take life too seriously when you realize yours is a joke." -me |

Thanks for subscribing, all who are here. I show 12 downloads of the beta software (0.1.0b) and 0 of the release (0.1.0). You should really upgrade now, before you start using it a lot, but before you do, please read on. Reason: The databases in the beta release have the same creatorID as the ID of the application itself. This means that if you delete the application (to upgrade or something), all of your databases will be deleted. The new versions have different IDs, so if you delete the program, the databases are still there. I thought this was safer. Problems: I think there's a problem with 0.1.0's calculation of firing cost. I've gone in and changed some things, but haven't knocked the bugs out yet. I'll release another version shortly that should be better. You might want to wait until then to update from the beta release. Releases: For those who don't know, the software community has a convention for software version numbers. I won't give you the whole thing. The short of it is that software with a major number of zero (such as 0.1.1) is known to be working, but developing, software. This means that it works, and should be fine for most tasks, but probably has bugs. Software written as 1.0 or 1.0.1 is that software you'd be proud to sell. No known bugs, stable as gibraltar. I didn't want to wait until that. Release early, release often. I figured it was better to get it out and usable than to wait 6 months to a year. Questions/suggestions: If you have questions/suggestions, please email the list. I'll try to fix it ASAP. This list is to discuss use/problems, use it. Next, I'm going to work on GlazeVisor-palm recipe database, then the desktop version of KilnVisor. I hope this is useful. Cheers, -J -- Jonathan Pennington | jo...@co...
