sorry for lack of updates, porting to D3D! ;)

must apologize for the lack of updates, et al. in the past few months, yes, we have been working just as hard on the project (at least 12 hours a week) but... haha.. don't laugh, we are so silly, we were using DirectDraw (which hadn't actually been updated since DX7) on the last version! BUT, NOW, now we've started everything again from "scratch" and created the Killer Instinct Engine (WOW!!) and have been porting (the generic) parts of our old code into the new project as well as re-writing stuff in an attempt to keep the code clean and re-usable. *gasp* yes, re-usable. Like all engines, we'd like to use what we've got here for more ideas of ours... the '2d tank game' idea is rather boring after several years, so something new is in line with the new Engine...... read more

Direct3D.Sprite.Draw/.Transform woes

not like anyone actually reads these news article things, but we haven't had a release in the past weeks because we've been "porting" everything from DirectDraw to Direct3D using a customized version of the Direct3D.Sprite class WHICH IS NOWHERE IN THE WORLD (i.e. google + newsgroups) DOCUMENTED!!!! Nobody seems to want to deal with 2D graphics with Direct3D, so i guess we're paving the way. Not even any of the books we've looked that deal with Managed DirectX 9 or at most have a couple of flimsy pages about how to do it, and even then they just go into the basics (which don't help us much!). So if anybody out there reading this has any advice or code snippets on how to use Sprite.Transform and Sprite.Draw CORRECTLY IN 2D SPACE PLEASE CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE we've been fighting with this the last month now and we're not getting very far. :(... read more

Killer Instinct 0.41

0.40 should really have been named 0.37 because in reality, 0.41 has most of the MAJOR bug fixes we've been trying to iron out in the last few weeks. That's why i'm posting a news article for 0.41, because this version actually works (in single player)!! *gasp*

(now we can get back to getting multiplayer to work again.. ;)

Killer Instinct 0.25!??

go check it out! The multiplayer is broken (but being worked on!) but the first few levels of SinglePlayer works and *gasp* even the AI is working now! And they don't attach each other anymore either! :) :) :)
