I am currently working on a larger document (40+ pages, a lot of
figures, tables and stuff). I sometimes suffer from very laggy response
(letters appear seconds after typing, as if kile was calculating
something before showing each and every letter) of the kate part. The
kile process uses one core fully, no increased memory usage (~80 mb).
To make it fast again I noticed I can do one of two things:
- deactivate, then activate the synchronization (livepreview recompiles)
- Recompile live preview manually (Alt+2)
This only happens with the synchronization activated. I can not
completely reproduce it, but it seems that if I start typing too quickly
after livepreview shows "Done!" I get the CPU usage.
Is there any way to collect more information about what exactly is using
the CPU time, or has this been observed/documented before? I did not
find any bug report.
