Dear Sirs, I installed Kile through the Synaptic. When I attempt to start it, Kile crashes. Why include Beta versions in Synaptic? Please include version 1.60 of Kile which worked fine with Ubuntu 8.04. My attemts to compile from the Kile Sources (Version 2.0 and others) also was not successful because the authors forgot to include the make file. (Please read the "READEME" file. |

Dear Nachikethas, you are mistaken about this list. This list is of the developers of Kile. Those developers have nothing to do with Ubuntu. So the inclusion of a beta-version into Ubuntu was not the decision of the Kile-developers but of the Ubuntu team. If a Ubuntu binary package fails than you should make a bug-report at Ubuntu or a Ubuntu mail list. Alternatively you could try to compile kile yourself and then report problems here. The latest stable version is 2.0.3 Regards Stefan On Wed, 13 Jan 2010 9:00:27 -0500 <nac...@co...> wrote: NN> Dear Sirs, NN> NN> I installed Kile through the Synaptic.
