Hi, today I happily recognized that a Kile 2.1beta port was added to MacPorts. Compilation and installation on MacOSX is quite easy now and besides some minor struggling with getting the KDE subsystems to work, Kile seems to run fine and smoothly. But, I came across a problem, as I have a MacBook 13" and my screen resolution is limited to 1280x800 pixels: If I open the "Configure Kile" dialog (Preferences in MacOSX), the dialog is to big for my screen. I can merely surmise the existence of the Ok and Cancel Buttons. And as I also don't see the lower right corner of the dialog I can't resize it. So, when creating and opening the dialog, there should be a check for screen resolution and accordingly an adjustment of the dialog size. Another strange behaviour I discovered: When I started Kile for the first time, the "Configure Kile" dialog opened when selecting Menu -> kile -> Preferences. After I quit and restarted Kile, I got the "Configure Editor" dialog when selecting Menu -> kile -> Preferences. Besides, I am really happy that Kile is available as a native MacOSX application and installation isn't a hassle anymore. Best regards, Michael |

I would really appreciate if the option screen would open smaller and would be adjustable/scrollable. Stefan |

I've added it to our todo list on http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/kile/index.php?title=TodoForNextRelease. Thanks, thomas |
