#1 Live preview fails in 2.9.92 for strange characters

For whatever reason, in my latex source file appeared a modified Ẃ character instead of a W. The same effect has been reached if I copypasted greek letters from some pdf into the Latex file and have not replaced all of them by TeX code.

pdflatex does not really seem to care about this, so that I do not even get an error message, but the live preview fails fatally, and without even a place where the error is indicated.
