[Kiki-help] Help with Conflicting Python Install

I'm running python 2.2.2 compiled from source on Mac OS X 10.1.5, and 
I'm getting the white screen when I try to run kiki. Could someone 
provide instructions on how to get kiki to run correctly?

I remember reading on a past version of the website that the fix would 
involve temporarily disabling the conflicting python installation. If 
this is the case, is there any way around it? I have several cron jobs 
setup that require python hourly.
